Leica M240 at the CUP
I’ve always watched the Melbourne Cup, The Race That Stops The Nation, on TV so last November, I though I’d get a bit closer to the “action” at least from the race tracks.
Being in Canberra, The Nation’s Capital, it would be too complicated to fly down to Melbourne so I thought I’d got to a local racetrack instead.
Canberra’s own racetrack, The Thoroughbred Park, each year, has its own races the same day with the Melbourne cup.
Everyone knows that the races = Fashion and Glamour. Which camera could I pack with me to not look like a reporter but rather someone who actually enjoys the races, with style.
You guessed it, I packed with me the One and Only Leica M240 with the legendary Leica 50mm Summilux ASPH lens.
Not only the camera and lens have the look, the style, but also they produced gorgeous photographs.
Well, when used properly :o)
Most of the time I shoot wide open and you will notice some of the images are back or front focused. It’s not the camera’s fault but the operator.
Let me know what you think.
Show time.
