Les Copines
Les Copines. French for Girlfriends.
Back in late February, we had a fun shoot with two gorgeous girls, Emily and Tomasina and my now favorite Hair & Make Up team that I now refer to as Team Malak.
The concept for the shoot is two copines (french for girlfriends) catching up after a boring day at work. The girls just wanna have fun idea with a twist of red wine and a chilling attitude ..
What does a chilling attitude even means . :O
A quick shout out for my creative team: Team Malak.
Team Malak is a duo of sisters in law, they married two brothers, who have a passion for what they do. Catherine with make up and Maryana with hair styling.
We’ve been working on some projects together now and I have never been disappointed in their performance. I can say that I feel completely confident to let them design the hair and make up for every shoot that we do.
A quick brief of the concept and I can go setting up my lighting and they will come up with the look I am after. It’s that cool.
I packed my medium format H4D40 for the shoot along with some “smaller” cameras (Olympus OMD-EM5 and Panasonic Lumix GF2).
When I brought along the micro 4/3s camera mainly for the behind the scenes stuffs, I found myself using them mainly for the shoot.
I set up the OMD on dual capture (RAW + JPEG) and used a colour filter (B&W) for the JPEG files.
So far, I only used the JPEG output from the OMD here .. Not even touched to the ORF (Olympus Raw Files).

Note that I add grain in my images, sometimes :o)
