RFM Style Innovator Playground
A young a dynamic group of talented and dedicated people in Vietnam are making some noise in the fashion and styling industry. They are RFM Style Innovator.
Within a short period of time, they have inspired a large number of young talents in participating in what they call Style Innovator Playground.
The idea behind the concept is to give the contestants a keyword and they will have to come up with their own interpretation of the idea, and create their own outfit. The location for the challenge/meet up is given at the very last minutes.
For their very first edition, RFM Style Innovator had the visit of two fashion models, Trang Pham, internationally published model, and Thi Thi Pham, runner up of Elite Model Look Vietnam 2014, as mentors for the walking and posing session.
I’ve been invited to be a guest judge and select three of the contestants as leader of the first round.
It was not easy task and I picked three of the contestants that I though responded the best to the concept. The first three I picked were:
Nguyễn Cao Bảo Ngọc, Phạm Bá Thành, and Nguyễn Thị Phụng
The team and I had some drinks with the first top three, and a couple more that stayed to get more insight about the behind the scenes, from Trang Pham and Thi Thi on the fashion side, and from the team and I on how to behave on the set for a shoot.
During the chat, I decided to pick a fourth person that I though would be really cool for a shoot I had in mind, the next day. The lucky fourth was Vũ Đăng Khoa.
A quick chat with the Aki and the Team, we have continued on with a night shoot, till late (photos coming soon), and a concept shoot for the next day, in a local cafe. The Cafe Anh.
