I met Sanyana at he early days of the National Arboretum Canberra.
It was a new spot that just has been opened and I thought it would be nice to do a shoot up there.

We did a shoot with Mis Mel, v8 model, and Natalia Pastor, make up and hair stylist (you can find the post on the shoot here) and after a morning of fun we decided to  have a drink inside the Arboretum.

We walked into the brand new building. The girls, Mel and Natalia, sat at a table and I went to the coffee shop to order drinks.

I was served by a young lady that when I first saw her, I immediately thought about doing a shoot with her…

We went back to the table with the drinks, talk to Mel and Natalia about her and decided I’d talk to her about the idea. I went back to the car, man it was hot outside, to take a card and head back to the coffee shop.

I was served by another person but asked if I could talk to ‘the young lady at the coffee machine.’ They called her Sanyana.

I gave Sanyana my card, telling her about the idea of shooting her and tell her to have a look at my website, Facebook page, and if she liked what she sees, she could get in touch so we could plan for a shoot.

It might sound weird to approach people and ask to photograph them but if you give them the choice and time, show them what you do, once they know who you are they’ll get in touch.
